I think it's the gold...
The gold reminds me of the warmth and the brightness of the lights on a xmas tree. When I was really little I used to wake up somewhere around midnight and go downstairs and lay in front of the xmas tree and stare at the lights and decorations on it. Esp the star at the top.

It's funny seeing your odd reflection in the ornaments.

Since it's the winter months I'd bring a blanket with me.
